Role Summary

Responsible, with the support of the BSC and station manager for ensuring the relevant hangar and line shift work at EMA is planned and carried out on time, in full, and to the required standards set by the MOE and operators CAME.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delegating the work in the hangar and line at EMA; in consultation with the Base Station Controller (BSC), LMC, production planner and station manager.
  • To Plan, distribute and supervise workload to EMA rostered staff. Ensure all work is completed. Report any discrepancies/incomplete work to BSC/LMC. Responsible for informing the airline and LMC of the state of the aircraft on maintenance, and inform them of any delays/disruptions
  • Responsible for arranging day shift manpower to meet any incoming/departing aircraft, and assisting BSC/station controller with night shift rostering as required to ensure the needs of EMA operation are met.
  • Ensuring certifying staff and mechanics understand and follow the time schedule.
  • Ensuring all work is completed IAW company procedures and the relevant maintenance documentation, Technical logs and work orders, are completed and returned to technical records. 
  • To support the implementation and maintenance of the company policies at EMA.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely. Educate and supervise EMA engineering staff in safe methods of working. 
    Support the organisation with the development of safe means of working.
  • Ensuring company logistics system RAL ENVISION is completed correctly for all work carried out by the engineers. Report any deficiencies to BSC/Logistics as required.
  • To be responsible for ensuring any required parts/tools for maintenance are ordered correctly, and monitor with logistics regarding estimated/required delivery times. Ensure tools and equipment are treated correctly, and are stored in the correct locations
  • To Support BSC with assessments/reviews of employees on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper handover procedures are completed iaw the MOE.
  • Ensuring company premises are maintained and good housekeeping standards are met at all times.  Report any building/facilities defects to BSC and ensure lights and power are switched off where appropriate at end of shift.
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are treated correctly, and are stored in the correct locations
  • To Carry out any other such reasonable duties as the company sees fit in accordance with the responsibilities of the position.

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • B1 or B2 certifier on at least one of company aircraft types.

  • Minimum 5 years Aviation Engineering experience
  • Must be Proactive, self-motivated & confident self-starter

Role Summary

Working as part of the West Atlantic UK team, the candidate’s primary role will be to assist the Company Secretary in further developing Financial Controls within the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Document and maintain financial procedures
  • Develop and maintain key financial schedules, such as Customer contracts, leases and insurance
  • Customer contract administration. The individual will be required to ensure that the Finance Department meet all the customer’s contractual obligations in particular ensuring that the company invoices all contracted elements.

Other Responsibilities

As a member of a small Finance team, providing cover of other member’s duties will be required. These will include;

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • VAT returns and EU VAT claims
  • Journal entries
  • Credit control
  • Cash book entries
  • Supplier administration, including payments and statement reconciliations

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent

Required Skills/Experience/knowledge:

  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills

  • Complete tasks on time, especially during financial period ends
