Role Summary

Maintain familiarity with such provisions of the Company Operations Manual as are necessary to fulfil the function.

Report to the commander any fault, failure, malfunction or defect which may affect the airworthiness or safe operation of the aircraft including emergency systems.

Ensure compliance with the relevant requirements of the company Air Safety Reporting scheme (ASR);

Maintain individual records regarding flight and duty times and rest periods as referred to in applicable FTL requirements; and provide each operator with the data needed to schedule activities in accordance with the applicable FTL requirements.

Assume responsibility for the aircraft, it’s occupants and cargo as appropriate if the commander is incapacitated

Assist the Commander as requested, with administrative and other relevant duties in relation to the flight

Ensure compliance with all elements of the Duties and Responsibilities in West Atlantic UK Part A.

Terms

Salary for First Officer- £37,522

Per Diems £1.85 per hour away from base (at present this is 75% is tax free)

Training - Successful Applicants will attend an Operators conversion course.  Costs will be borne by the Company but the crewmember will sign a 1-year loan agreement. Role Summary

To provide and support effective and efficient engineering at EDI, that meets the operational requirements in a sustainable and safe manner. 

Responsible for ensuring that the relevant line maintenance at EDI is carried out on time, in full, and to the required standards. Line maintenance is categorised as, meet and greet support, daily and weekly inspection, flight log and crew reported defects, out of phase and scheduled maintenance.

Engineers will be rostered on a shift system based on 7 on 7 off shifts, as scheduled by the P145 maintenance manager. The role is a mixture of days and nights but shift times are subject to change as scheduled by the P145 maintenance manager or the Line Station Controller.

Hours are subject to change dependant on operational requirements, and are at full discretion of the company.

Responsibilities

Ensure all work is completed IAW company procedures and the relevant maintenance documentation, technical logs and work orders, are completed and returned to technical records.

Ensure tools and equipment are handled and stored correctly.

Responsible for ensuring proper handover procedures are completed iaw the MOE. 

Ensure company premises and vehicles are maintained and good housekeeping standards are achieved at all times. Report any building/facilities defects to the maintenance manager.

Be well informed about valid instructions, regulations and maintenance information. 

Keep current with the approved working schedules, company procedures, requirements and any authorisation ratings held for the work performed. 

Engineers are responsible for ensuring their airside passes, driving permits, and airside vehicle permits are kept valid

Lead Technical Records and Planning Engineer

Role Summary

Responsibilities

  •  Ensure the maintenance of all aircraft is planned in accordance with the approved maintenance programme;
  • Responsible for distribution of the day-to-day tasks within the Technical Records and Planning department.
  • To ensure that all technical log defects are transferred to the computer defects log, including details of rectification action taken and any deferred defects.
  • Liaise with Line Maintenance providers, Heavy Maintenance providers, LMC, Technical Services and Operations, ensure that the maintenance network can deliver the maintenance schedule based on availability of aircraft;
  • To ensure the information contained in all completed worksheets and work packs is entered onto Approved Maintenance control computer system , ensuring that each aircraft status is current and out of phase items are communicated via the Technical Services Manager to the operator and noted in the tech log. This includes the stamping and inserting of logbook certificates into the respective log books for all maintenance events and component changes, as soon after the event as possible but no later than thirty days after the day of maintenance action.
  • Responsible for the development of the overall production planning system;
  • Ensure that all Maintenance Planning is performed in compliance with the requirements of Part-M, Part- CAMO, Part 145, the CAME and other applicable regulations;
  • Ensure production and control of all maintenance check packs to include work requirements and associated documentation with respect to aircraft maintenance;
  • Participate in the required meetings to ensure actions can be implemented and fulfilled within the maintenance schedule and Technical Records and Planning department;
  • Manage and identify the variation requests.
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the data held within the Approved Maintenance control computer system.
  • Liaise with other departments as required with respect to the programme for maintenance of fleet aircraft, the inclusion of additional work in such check-packs and circulation to all areas concerned;
  • Ensuring timely closure of the appropriate corrective action resulting from non-conformance findings from Compliance Monitoring System independent audits, CAA audits and support Safety investigations as assigned by the Technical Services Manager or CAMO Manager.

  • Responsible for the content and amendment of any departmental procedures.

The technical manager reports directly to the company Accountable Manager.

  • Ensure compliance with Continuing Airworthiness tasks as described in the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) and keep it valid and approved in accordance with the CAAUK rules and regulations:
  • Maintains a high level of safety and compliance by ensure the achievement of the levels of quality and safety required by the Aviation authorities and aviation regulations and resolve any audit findings or occurrence reports is resolved accordingly.
  • Maintain relationship with the Part 145 maintenance contractor(s) and establishment of a maintenance contracts.

Responsibility and mandate:

  • Manage and direct all employees under their supervision, promote operational security reports and promote the conduct of operations safely, in accordance with the provisions of the SMS policy.
  • Manage and maintain relationship with the Part M Subcontractor and P145 Maintenance organisatons and establishment of contracts and active control/oversite.

Part 145 Production Planner

This role is in place to ensure full compliance with the UK CAA and EASA Regulations, along with the West Atlantic UK Part 145 MOE and company procedures as part of West Atlantics continued development to ensure that our stated goals of safety, quality, delivery and cost effectiveness are achieved.
The scope of responsibility and duties of the production planner are subject to change, at the discretion of the Maintenance Manager.

Scope of Responsibility

Responsible along with the Base Maintenance Manager and Line Maintenance Manager, for the implementation of requested work packages from WAUK Part CAMO’s scheduled and unscheduled maintenance program for the UK operation.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Responsible for ensuring the Base Mainteance Manager and Line Maintenance Manager are made aware of the required resources for planned maintenance are available to ensure customer aircraft are returned to service in a timely manner.

 

Liaises with WAUK Part CAMO planning, with reference to upcoming scheduled maintenance, including the resources required. E.g. manpower, parts, hangar space, downtime, tools and equipment.
Receive the scope of work from Part CAMO, review and feedback required down time, input and output times to Part CAMO. Identify any possible specialist man power or tooling requirements.
Arrange 3rd party services as required, e.g tooling loan, fuel tank repairs, NDT, A/C cleaning, additional hangar space as required etc. Raise and issue service orders for 3rd party services as required.
Liaises with Part CAMO and LMC/operations to ensure the planned work is still able to be performed at the planned locations. E.g. Due to A/C route changes etc. Informs 3rd party suppliers of any changes. Informs logistics of any changes required.
Review work packages, paying particular attention to new AD/SB inspections. Work with Part CAMO to ensure the correct downtime is agreed for new AD/SB inspections, and ensure the required tooling and parts are available.
Receives work pack from Part CAMO, and allocate to the required station via the MSP dashboard. For Hangar work packs, the PP will print, collate and file ready for issuing.
Task cards are to be reviewed for correct data, and Boeing/ATR task card/AMM/SB references.
Prior to maintenance input, PP will check preloaded spares, and work with Part CAMO planning to ensure any incoming defects are added to the work pack, and spares are on order or available. PP will continue to monitor spares and tooling status up to the input start date.
Ensure all required tooling is available. If tooling is not present at the station, the PP will source a loan unit with the help of logistics, or arrange to have a tool moved from another Group station.
Performs hand over of maintenance to the shift supervisors and Base Maintenance Manager/Line Maintenance Manager.
Collates certified paperwork, and checks for completion of paperwork iaw MOE. i.e. Sign, date, stamp, 145 approval ref, independent inspection, parts used, continuation sheets, CRS etc. Reports any discrepancies to the BMM/LMM as required.Ensures supporting documentation is correctly completed iaw MOE and WAUK maintenance contract and interface procedures.
Ensures that RAL data is updated to the standards required iaw the MOE and CAME procedures.
Reports back to Part CAMO any planning issues found during maintenance input.
Ensures completed services and service orders are closed on RAL.
Review completed work packs for man hours booked, and report accuracy to the Base Maintenance Mananger/Line Maintenance Manager.
Ensure that any work orders that have been completed are returned via the MSP.
Perform wash-up meetings regarding completed maintenance inputs with the shift supervisors and Base Maintenance Manager /Line Mainteance Mananger (as required), and implement any changes for future inputs with the approval of the Base Maintenance Manager/Line Maintenance Manager.

The business controller has a very good understanding of the business and through these insights the controller plays a key role in the support to commercial on customer quotes and customer profitability. They are interested in working closely with each function as a business partner to understand each functions results versus budget and how these results can be improved. The controller needs to be in the details of all contracts (customers and key costs) but also be able to see the overall view of the business and helping to shape the business strategy. They help with the construction of the rolling forecasts and budget processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Revenue assurance – help the assistant accountant in establishing and implementing controls to ensure that all elements are properly invoiced. Thorough understanding of the key customer contracts
  • Direct Operating cost assurance – tracking and understanding of direct operating costs to assist the Finance Manager to ensure the costs are properly recorded monthly and that rechargeable DOCs are properly invoiced. Maintain a thorough understanding of the impacts the DOCs have on customer profitability and included in future quotes  
  • Customer Profitability reviews – maintain the customer P&L and update management
  • Customer Quote model – develop and maintain the quote model
  • Cost analysis – opportunities identified to management
  • Maintenance cost analysis – detailed understanding of all maintenance costs and include this in the monthly financial reviews
  • Cost centre review meetings – assist with the monthly business reviews
  • Forecast & Budgets – assist with construction of forecasts and budgets
  • BI Tool maintenance
  • Project costs – review restructuring projects
  • Adhoc

 

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent
  • Accounting/Finance qualification – CIMA an advantage

Required Skills/Experience/knowledge:

  • 5-8 years experience within a finance team, management accounting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Airline Industry an advantage
  • Excellent IT skills specifically ERP systems (Navision preferred), Microsoft Excel and BI tools.

Role Summary

To provide and support effective and efficient engineering at ABZ, that meets the operational requirements in a sustainable and safe manner. 

Responsible for ensuring that the relevant line maintenance at ABZ is carried out on time, in full, and to the required standards. Line maintenance is categorised as, meet and greet support, daily and weekly inspection, flight log and crew reported defects, out of phase and scheduled maintenance.

Engineers will be rostered on a shift system based on 7 on 7 off shifts, as scheduled by the P145 maintenance manager. The role is predominantly DAY shift work, but shift times are subject to change as scheduled by the P145 maintenance manager or the Line Station Controller.

Hours are subject to change dependant on operational requirements, and are at full discretion of the company.

Responsibilities

Ensure all work is completed IAW company procedures and the relevant maintenance documentation, technical logs and work orders, are completed and returned to technical records.

Ensure tools and equipment are handled and stored correctly.

Responsible for ensuring proper handover procedures are completed iaw the MOE. 

Ensure company premises and vehicles are maintained and good housekeeping standards are achieved at all times. Report any building/facilities defects to the maintenance manager.

Be well informed about valid instructions, regulations and maintenance information. 

Keep current with the approved working schedules, company procedures, requirements and any authorisation ratings held for the work performed. 

Engineers are responsible for ensuring their airside passes, driving permits, and airside vehicle permits are kept valid

Carry out any other such reasonable duties as the company sees fit in accordance with the responsibilities of the position 

Academic/Educational Requirements

Unrestricted UK B2 license – type rating required on 737CL - NG Approval an Advantage

Role Summary

Approved apprenticeship scheme whereby the successful candidate will study against an established curriculum whilst fulfilling the duties of an Operations Officer and Crewing Officer within the Operations Control Centre (OCC).

Responsible for coordinating and planning all daily operational activities essential to ensure all flights are operated safely, in accordance with company requirements, and on time.

Successful candidate will also gain exposure to other elements of airline management including Flight Operations Support, Crew Planning, Crew Travel co-ordination and Ground Operations.

Responsibilities as Operations Officer

Manage the flight schedule to achieve a safe and efficient flying programme as follows:

In Operations:

  • Dispatch computer flight plans for all flights.
  • Ensure that copies of all flight plans made available to aircrew.
  • Secure optimum air traffic slots.
  • Liaise with line maintenance control with regard to current unserviceability’s and recovery plans.
  • Liaise with internal departments and customers as required on current operational matters.
  • Ensure all administration is carried out to the required standard and regulations
  • Anticipate and co-ordinate required changes to the flight schedule and liaise with relevant departments.
  • Monitor the flight schedule, maintain and update the flight watch board (PDC) as required.
  • Ensure all customer and internal reports are completed and distributed on time and in full.
  • Maintain a weather and NOTAM watch appropriate to the operation and liaise with all relevant departments as required
  • Liaise with customers as required/directed on delays or significant events. Assist with customer enquiries or queries as required.

In Crewing:

  • Control and manage crew rosters for all aircraft types for the current week of operation.
  • Produce zero risk rosters that are efficient and compliant.
  • Ensure that the Flight Management software (PDC Crew) is kept up to date when changes occur and ensure that the Supervisor is made aware of any FTL or CWA conflicts as a result of the changes.
  • Inform the Supervisor of any potential risk to the night’s operation due to crewing issues.
  • Monitor FDP times and inform the crew if potential delays will result in their FDP being exceeded, in which case alternative plans such as the use of Commander’s Discretion or split duty should be discussed.
  • Work with the Crewing Assistant to ensure that all ground transport, jump seats, commercial flights and hotel accommodation are booked for the current week of operation.
  • Book all ground transport, commercial flights and hotel accommodation as well as requesting jump seats in the operational period, out of office hours.
  • Inform the WAS/WAUK long term planners, at the earliest opportunity, if any changes affect training, especially if training or line checks are cancelled. Where possible, work with the Training Crew to reschedule any lost training in the operational period.
  • Advise the Operations Supervisor and customers of crew FDP and duty restrictions as required.
  • Ensure accurate training and flying duty records are maintained and that the crew roster accurately reflects the company activities of all crew.

Provide cost effective solutions for business travel requirements ensuring that the corporate travel policy is adhered to.
