Role Summary:

Duties:

The main duties/responsibilities of a maintenance planner in West Atlantic are to: 

  • Manage and ensure the timely compliance of all planned maintenance requirements regulated by the maintenance programs.
  • Provide recommendations and direction to aircraft routing and operations for planned maintenance opportunities.
  • Create a cost-effective maintenance plan.
  • Prepare and issue all maintenance work orders for line and base maintenance activities, based on aircraft flying programme, aircraft downtime availability and complexity of work.
  • Ensure availability of required resources such as facilities, tooling, materials and manpower.
  • With safety in mind, ensure that all plans are made with Human Factors in consideration.
  • Ensure that all work is planned in accordance with EASA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support/assist with crew requirements e.g. accommodation and transportation as appropriate. Respond to aircrew enquiries. Update daily the flight crew management system.

Individuals in this role will focus on one of two disciplines:

Operations:

  • Responsible for flight watch ensuring that all movements are recorded in a timely manner and any disruption is highlighted to the OCC Shift Supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a weather and NOTAM watch appropriate to the network and communicate risks to the OCC Shift Supervisor.
  • Ensure all planned flights have a filed flight plan in accordance with the operational schedule.
  • Ensure that all required flight documentation is available to aircrew.
  • Assist the supervisor in providing operational direction to Line Maintenance Control ensuring maintenance actions are tailored to meet the requirements of the customer with minimal disruption.
  • Carry out the following tasks for ad-hoc flights and disrupted schedules:
    • Arrange / change / cancel ground handling as required
    • Obtain / change / cancel runway slots as required
    • Plan routes and revise flight plans as required
  • Ensure all customer and internal reports are completed and distributed on time and in full.
  • Assist with customer enquiries as required.

Short Term Crewing:

  • Co-ordinate the short-term crewing of all operated flights in accordance with company policy and relevant legislation to achieve a safe and efficient flying programme.
  • Effectively communicate with other OCC staff and update the OCC Shift Supervisor on any ongoing crewing related issues and proposed solutions.
  • Carry out the following for ad-hoc flights and disrupted schedules:
    • Use all resources available to ensure all scheduled flights in the operational period are correctly crewed.
    • Ensure revised crew schedules are compliant for the operational period.

Line Maintenance Controller

 Role Summary

The Line Maintenance Control (LMC) Engineer is responsible for all matters Technical to ensure  reliable on-time departure of aircraft in an operational environment.

The Line Maintenance Controller will be required to coordinate and control Technical Data related to the line operation which are required to achieve the above.

Responsibilities

Within Part M requirements, the LMC is required to provide effective and timely technical advice and support to Operations Control Centre (OCC), Line Engineers and Flight Crews. 

Liaise with Part M post Holder and/or OCC Manager for guidance/clarification.

Liaise with OCC on all matters technical, ensuring that they have up to date clear information and the necessary understanding of the cause of production delays or AOG situations.

Support and manage information regarding AOG (aircraft on ground) recovery plans and incidents on the ground.

Manage and oversea the Line Maintenance plan to ensure Operations have clear visibility of Plan maintenance inputs, Line Service Checks, ADD’s and HIL’s (hold item list).

Support and ensure adequate defect planning is carried out on a regular basis to allow control of ADD’s and HIL’s.

Give technical support to Line Engineers performing trouble shooting of defects and repetitive defects.

Ensure that all guidance given is performed in accordance with and according to Part M/145 procedures and TI’s, using the necessary spares/tooling and manpower with reference to the correct AMM information.

Ensure all activities are carried out safely and good housekeeping standards are met at all times.

Academic/Educational Requirements

    • Valid EASA B1 and/or B2 License or ICOA equivalent is desirable
    • Engineering qualification – HND Level or equivalent experience
    • Current HF, FTS Level 2. EWIS

Required Skills/Experience:

    • Recent prop experience
    • Minimum 10 years Aviation line and/or base maintenance experience
    • Skills on type (ATP/B737/767/CRJ) or similar
    • Must be Proactive, self-motivated & confident self-starter
    • Effective and positive Team Player
    • Possess confident and effective communication skills (both written & verbal)
    • Ability to make good judgements and decisions based on the needs of the company operation, in a very dynamic, fast changing environment.
    • Proven ability with problem solving and excellent Planning & Organising skills

Role Summary:

The role of the Airworthiness Engineer will be to work as a member of the West Atlantic Part 145 engineering department. He or she is specialized but not limited to ATA 22,23,24,31,33,34 and will work on all WA operated aircraft types (ATP, CRJ, Boeing 733, 734, 738 and 767)

The primary roles are to keep control of the continuing airworthiness data and Aircraft Maintenance Program.

 

Duties:

  • Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for applicability.
  • Review and update Aircraft Maintenance Program.
  • Develop Engineering Orders to accomplish modifications in response to ADs, SBs, SILs, etc
  • Provide technical and advisory support to the Maintenance, Quality, and logistics department.
  • Assessment of engineering requirements to enable efficient overhaul / repair of aircraft electrical/avionics related components. (Requisitions and Quotations)
  • Liaise with vendors and Civil Aviation Authorities

 

Qualifications: 

  • Possess a Swedish driving license.
  • Experience with avionics.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and oral.
  • Must be familiar with SCAA and EASA regulations.
  • Must hold an Aviation Engineering Degree or similar.

 

Skills:

  • Organized and structured.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Experience from a similar position.
