Modern Slavery Policy

West Atlantic UK Limited
Modern Slavery Policy – 2020

1. Organisation’s structure, its business and its supply chains

West Atlantic UK Ltd is wholly owned by West Atlantic AB in Sweden and provides air cargo services primarily throughout the UK mainland.

Our core supply chain provides services in the highly competent and secure aviation environment, with additional minor supply chains supporting peripheral operational areas outside the aviation network.

2. Policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking.

Our code of conduct policy wholly supports the fundamental principles of human rights, equal opportunity, recruitment, safety and compliance for all staff, and an unequivocal stand against discrimination, bribery and corruption.

Our management team have been trained in identifying and addressing bullying, harassment, and corruption. We work in unison with our customers and suppliers in respect of identification and assessment of non-compliance with our anti-slavery and human trafficking policies.

3. Due diligence processes in relation to slavery and human trafficking.

We assess our risk of exposure to modern slavery and human trafficking activities within our own organisation as zero, and within our first-tier supply chain as extremely low.

We recognise breaches of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 occur within the UK and are alert to monitor and act immediately if a violation has been identified.

4. Risk Management

Our organisation manages risk as an integral part of its activities and supports and encourages staff to report any aspect of our operation that has or could generate a risk.

Our embedded risk reporting culture extends to our policy on human rights and transparency of activities, as such, we have oversight at every level within our organisation in respect of monitoring operations and suppliers.

All suppliers are evaluated through an approval process including a risk assessment from a compliance and ethnical perspective. Suppliers are additionally audited every two years to monitor on-going compliance.
